The Southern and Eastern Regional Operational Programme
Investments in the Southern and Eastern region are made by the Southern and Eastern Regional Operational Programme, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Irish Government. The only exception to this is Sustainable Urban Development, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the relevant Local Authority.
To date, more than 700 projects have been approved for European Regional Development Fund co-funding under the Southern and Eastern Regional Operational Programme, which is managed by the Southern Regional Assembly.
498 million euro total funding for the Southern and Eastern Programme. 249 million euro in funding from the European Union and 249 million euro in funding from the Irish Government and Local Authorities.

Indicators for Southern and Eastern Region: 680 new researchers, 160,000 unserved households provided with High Speed Broadband access, 16,900 new jobs in micro enterprises and 19,400 households with improved energy efficiency.
