European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development
The Beef Data Genomic Programme incentivises farmers to undertake a range of actions designed to deliver accelerated genetic improvement in the quality of the beef herd and, as a result, the associated climate benefits such as reduced emissions intensity.
The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine coordinate activities with trained advisers and beef farmers to achieve worthwhile effects on their herd’s carbon footprint. Learn more in the full report.
