Border, Midland and Western Regional Operational Programme
Investments in the Border, Midland and Western Region are made by the Border, Midland and Western Regional Operational Programme, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Irish Government. The only exception to this is Sustainable Urban Development, which is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the relevant Local Authority.
The programme is managed by the Northern and Western Regional Assembly. The Programme consists of several schemes, each targeting the Programme Focuses listed below.
316 million euro total funding for the Border Midland and Western Programme. 158 million euro funding from the European Union and 158 million euro funding from the Irish Government and Local Authorities.

Indicators for Border, Midland and Western Region: 200 new researchers, 144,000 unserved households provided with High Speed Broadband access, 3,600 new jobs in micro enterprises and 10,000 households with improved energy efficiency.
