The Dundalk Gateway was allocated €1.9 million towards the redevelopment of Market Square in the centre of the town in order to re-instate Market Square as a multi-functional civic and social focus of the gateway.
The construction contract was awarded to John Craddock’s Ltd in 2011. The project involved the redevelopment of 8,100msq of civic space to include a fountain, performance area, seating and provision for markets and events.
